P.R. Stunt of The Day Award

October 29, 2008

In an earlier post, we noted that our “I Voted” press release campaign on behalf of Moonstone Hotel Properties earned coverage in the Los Angeles Times and USA Today

This campaign has since earned additional exposure in the New York Post, which wrote that “the PR-stunt-of-the-day award goes to West Coast-based Moonstone Hotels, who will be rewarding voters with special rates.” The Post went on to make some racy comments about the starting rate of $69.

While we don’t exactly consider our press release a “stunt,” we appreciate the Post’s attention, as well as its sense of humor.

Client Coverage in LA Times, USA Today

Your vote really counts at Moonstone Hotel Properties! This was the message behind a press release that Mooncatcher recently wrote and distributed on behalf of Moonstone Hotel Properties, promoting the company’s catchy “I Voted” savings package, whereby guests receive a room discount when presenting their “I Voted” stickers.

To date, this press release has generated coverage in USA Today, the Los Angeles Times and Pacific Coast Business times, proving that media relations really counts, too.

Wine Marketing for Ancient Peaks

October 17, 2008

We are excited to be working with one of the Paso Robles wine country’s most exciting new wineries, Ancient Peaks Winery.

Our initial work consisted of helping Ancient Peaks develop a branding strategy that captured the winery’s unique selling points. We then implemented this strategy throughout a suite of marketing content, including a web site, brochure, back labels, product fact sheets, press kit and other marketing collateral.

We are also conducting a media relations program to generate positive editorial exposure for Ancient Peaks. So far, so good, as the winery’s 2006 Zinfandel was just rated 93 points by the Wine Spectator!
